Hope Medical Foundation's Story
The Hope Medical Foundation Story
“Bridging the healthcare disparity gap both globally and locally through planned mission trips and community outreach programs.”
When I was in medical school, I often prayed while driving to class, that I would find a way to reach as many people as possible and impact lives in a meaningful, significant way. Though, at the time, I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to accomplish this.
Once I completed my training, I searched for opportunities to join a mission trip. I quickly learned that there is an immense need, in the United States and around the world, to provide healthcare. According to the World Health Organization, nearly 50% of the world’s population lacks access to essential health services and approximately 5.7 million people die in low and middle-income countries each year because of poor-quality healthcare. So, to complement the work already being done and to help others in need, Hope Medical Foundation was born in 2023.
I am thankful to begin this journey with my wife Miranda, who was instrumental in starting our foundation. Our first mission is scheduled for September 2023, and we will travel to Guatemala. Aspirations are high, with the goal to provide high-quality healthcare, preventative medicine, nutrition, oral care, education, and additional resources to those in need. We strive to bridge the healthcare gap and bring hope to as many communities as possible.
